The ‘Request Authorisation’ facility is an optional area within the system which may not be available to all users.
Authorisation can be requested on any action within the system, where the user thinks that further permission is required before an action can be marked off as complete.
An example of this may be where the action required will have high cost implications and would need to be signed off by someone else, before work can take place.
The ‘Request Authorisation’ facility allows for the request to stay within the system, avoiding any external email discussions, but also ensuring that full history of the action progress remains.
