You will firstly need to create a Unit Type and this can be achieved by navigating to the “Settings” tab and then clicking the icon named “Unit Types”.
To add a Unit, simply click on the “Unit Types – Add” icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
A pop-up screen will appear where you will be prompted to input the Unit Type name and choose a colour code for the new Unit.
Once the Unit has been created, you will then need to link this to property. To do this, simply go to your properties list and select the relevant property, and then once on the property details page, click onto the subheading named “Units”.
On this page you will be able to view all properties units by clicking the icon named “All Properties” and this will apply to all properties the user has access to, or you can add a Unit to the already selected property by clicking the icon named “Add Unit”.
Once you have selected “Add Unit”, a pop-up screen will appear where you will need to input the relevant information such as the description of the unit and the type (which will be a drop down menu where you will be able to choose the newly added unit type). You will also be able to include the EPC Score and Rating and you will also be able to upload any documents here if required.
Using the Dashboard functionality, you can now create new pie charts which show the EPC Rating and scores for your Units.
Once all the necessary information has been inputted, click “Save” which will now link this unit to the property.
You can edit a unit at any time by clicking on the “Edit” icon on the far right-hand side of the screen. Where required, you can archive a unit by clicking on the unit’s name and then clicking the icon “Archive Unit”.
In addition to the Units functionality, you also have the option to link a unit to an asset, if this part of the system is activated and populated with your equipment.
To view any archived units, navigate to units screen and then select the “Archived” tab and this will show you any inactive units.
If you need to remove a unit type as a whole, this can be done by navigating to the “Settings” tab and “Unit Types” and then click the Red Cross under the delete column on the relevant unit, this would remove the unit from the system. However, if the unit is still active and has outstanding inspections/actions, RiskWise will not allow you to remove the unit type as an error message will appear. Before you can remove the unit, all outstanding inspections and actions will need to be completed.
You can also view any units from your “Action List” and “Inspection List”. There will be a column named “Unit” on the right-hand side and this column will show any units that relate to an action or inspection against a property.
