How can I add a Work Permit to a Floorplan?

When on the Contractor Management module and logging a work permit, you now have the functionality to be able to mark the work permits location on an existing floor plan for a property. If you need to create a floor plan initially, please refer to article ‘2.11 How can I manage and create Floorplans for a property?’ for further guidance.

Once a floor plan has been created for a property, users can request a work permit (please refer to article ‘16.22 How do I request a Permit?’ for further guidance) and the option to mark the work permit location on a floor plan is now available. Simply request a new work permit or edit an existing permit and then scroll down to the bottom of the pop up screen where users can choose ‘yes’ mark the location.

Once confirmed, click the submit button in the bottom right corner of the pop up screen which will then let the user proceed to the next page where a floor plan can be chosen from the drop-down menu and then click onto the ‘Place Marker’ icon and drag the pin to the work permit location and then save to complete the work permit request.

Once the work permit has been requested, users can then view the permit by going into the ‘Work Permits’ section of a property and then clicking onto the Permit reference. This will then take the user to the Work Permit summary page where if users click onto the tab named ‘Permit location’ this will then show the floor plan and the work permit location.
