In order to add a new asbestos item, click onto the icon named “Add Asbestos Item” which is located withing the ‘Tool Menu’. Please note that when adding a new item, this will be for the property you previously choose from the “Properties List”.
You will then be presented with a new screen where you will need to fill in the required information such as the “Asbestos type” and “Total Fibre Release Score” this score is calculated (not automatically by RiskWise, but by an individual) based on some of the other factors / fields such as asbestos type and damage for example
Here you will also be able to add new sample numbers (which can be located within your Risk Assessment report) or you can choose from existing samples already on the system for that specific property.
You are also able to “Edit” an existing record by going to the far right of your screen and using the edit pencil icon. Once a record has been edited, you will need to provide mandatory notes as to why this has been updated before you can save any amendments. This “Update Notes” will be the last question. All updates will then show within the “Latest History” column and in order to view the historic updates, simply click onto the latest notes within the table and this will then show in date order, all updates for this item.
You will also be able to delete a record by using the delete icon which is located on the right side of the edit icon.
When editing a record, you will also be able to link actions and existing Samples to the record if it is necessary. Furthermore, you can also change the “Status” as to whether asbestos is ‘present` or if it has been ‘removed`. All records which have been chosen as ‘removed’ will turn red on the overall Asbestos register.
In order to easily view all actions which have been linked to a certain record, simply click onto the number shown in the “Actions” column and this will take you to all actions which have been linked. You can then drill down into each Actions details by clicking onto the Action reference number
