Property risk scoring is all linked to custom fields, stored against the property. Any custom fields, which are utilising a drop-down option, that are already created within the system, can be used for property risk scoring.
This article will not cover the creation of custom fields and their values.
To view a list of custom fields which are available to be used for property risk scoring, navigate to Settings’, then to ‘Property Risk Scoring Fields’.
This new screen will display a list of all custom fields that use a list of values.
Not all of these fields will be suitable or required for the property risk scoring. Any that have been set for scoring will show a tick in the column ‘Contributes to Risk Score’.
Some of these property risks may be able to improve, with influence of good management. These will be identified with a tick in the column ‘Can Score be influenced’.
Risks to a property are considered parent risks. Risk controls, which can reduce the score of the parent risk, are a child of a parent risk. These relationships are summarised in the column ‘Type of Risk & Relationship’.
Any of these custom fields can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon in the appropriate row.
Parent risks will require positive scores entering in against each possible default value. In addition to this standard score for a risk, there is a field for the minimum possible score. This field is to determine the lowest possible score this value can have, regardless of the value of the child risk controls in place.
Child risk controls will require negative numbers entering in as values.
