To log an inspection for one of your assets, an inspection type will first need to be made applicable to assets. To do this, navigate to the “Setting Cog” in the top right of your screen, and then click “Event/Inspection Types” under “Events and Actions Settings”.
You will then need to locate the relevant inspection type from the inspections listed on the left-hand side of the screen. Once the inspection has been located, click the three vertically stacked dots on the right-hand side of the table to “Edit”, “Add Subcategory”, “Assign Category” or “Delete Category”.
Once you have clicked “Edit”, a pop-up screen will appear where you will need to select “Yes” on the option “Applicable to Assets” and then save.
You are also able to mass assign an asset to numerous inspection types. To do this, you will need to click the grey options button in the top right, once you have done that, you will need to select “Mass Assign Features”.
You will then need to use the “Inspection Type Setting” in the drop-down menu. Then select “Assign Types to Asset Register”. Once this is selected, you must scroll down and tick the box next to the inspection types to which you wish to apply Assets. Once relevant inspections have been selected, you can now save to apply these changes.
Navigate to a property and click “Log Event/Inspection”, this can be found when you click on the shield in the top right-hand corner of the page once you have selected a property.
You will then be greeted with a pop-up screen where you can choose whether to create a new Event/Inspection or review an existing log.
Then, select the inspection type and you will now be able to select an asset from the drop-down menu.
Once you have logged the inspection, the asset will now show in the blue toolbar at the top of the page in the “Inspection List”.
You will also be able to view how many inspections/Actions have been logged against the asset by going into “Asset Management”.
By clicking on the Asset name which is located under the column named “Description” on the left side of the table you will be able to view the Asset Details and can view any Inspections, Actions, and History Logs that have been raised against the asset.
