What is the difference between a brand new inspection and an inspection review?

A brand new inspection is any type of inspection or event that has not yet been recorded on the system.

A review of an existing Event / Inspection would be the second option in the screen shot below.

You would log a review if a previous inspection has already taken place, and been given a ‘Next Inspection Date’.

Each inspection on the system is part of a chain, usually with review dates. If you were to log a brand new inspection where a review is required, you would in effect be creating a second inspection chain.
