What validation is in place for energy data?

When you enter readings the system will validate your entry by:

- Checking that the number of digits that you use is consistent.

- Not allowing a "negative reading" where the meter appears to have gone backward. NB: you will need to enter a 'meter reading cap' value to allow for meters to roll over back to zero.

- Warning you if the reading you are entering is significantly higher or lower than the historic pattern suggests. In this case, you will be asked to check your reading and enter a text note to explain any apparent anomaly.
